The Sanctity of Singing
عن امير المؤمنين (عليه السلام)عن رسول الله (صلى الله عليه واله وسلم): قال
صوتان ملعونان يبغضهما الله: اعوال عند مصيبة وصوت عند نعمة, يعني نوح وبكاء
About the prince of believers Ali “peace be upon him” about the Messenger of God “God bless him and his family” said: Two voices cursed and hated by God : howling of calamity also singing of blessing.
وعن سول الله (صلى الله عليه واله وسلم)
قال: صوتان ملعونان في الدنيا والآخرة:
مزمار عند مصيبة, ورنة عند نعمة.
About Messenger of God “God bless him and his entire progeny” said: Two voices cursed in the first “the world” and the last “doomsday”: Oboe of blessing and clang “rinking” of catastrophe.
وعن رسول الله (صلى الله عليه واله وسلم) إنه قال: نهينا عن صوتين احمقين فاجرين:
صوت عند مصيبة مع خمش الوجوه وشق الجيوب, وصوت عند نعمة باللهو واللعب بالمزامير, وإنهما مزامير الشيطان.
About him “God bless him and his household” said: I prohibited you about two foolish, indecencies voices, voice of calamity as well as scratching faces and rending of pockets, also; voice of blessing beside of entertainment, playing of oboes and this is oboes of Satan
وعن ابي عبد الله (عليه السلام)
انه سُئل عن السفلة؟ فقال:
من يشرب الخمر ويضرب بالطنبور.
About AbI Abed Allah “P B U H” After someone asked him about raffish? Said: Who drinks alcohol and beats drum.
وكذلك قال (عليه السلام):
استماع اللهو والغناء ينبت النفاق كما ينبت الماء الزرع.
He also “P B U H” Said: listening to entertainments and singing grows hypocrisy such as water sows implant.
قال (عليه السلام):
الغناء يورث النفاق , ويعقب الفقر.
He “P B U H” Said: The singing inherited hypocrisy, and also produced “left” poverty.
وقال (عليه السلام) ايضاً:
الغناء عش النفاق.
He “P B U H” said: The singing nest of hypocrisy.
وعن رسول الله(صلى الله عليه واله وسلم)
قال: الغناء رقية (وسيلة) الزنا.
About God’s Messenger “God bless him and his family” said: The singing is way to adultery.
قال الامام الصادق(عليه السلام):
من صغى الى ناطق فقد عبده, فأن كان الناطق يؤدي الى عبادة الله فقد عبد الله, وأن كان الناطق يؤدي الى الشيطان فقد عبد الشيطان.
Imam Sadeq “ P b u h” said:
Who listens to speaker, he will slave him, if the talker leads to worship Allah then the listener worshipped Allah, while if the speaker leads to devil then the listener worshiped the devil.
وفي وصية النبي (صلى الله عليه واله وسلم) الى الا مير علي (عليه السلام)قال:
يا علي ثلاثة يقسين القلب : استماع اللهو, وطلب الصيد, واتيان باب السلطان.
In the commandment of the prophet Muhammad “God bless him and his family” to the prince Ali “peace be upon him and his family” said:
Oh, Ali three hardened the heart were: listening to entertainment “singing”, requesting hunting, coming the sultan’s door.
قال (صلى الله عليه واله وسلم):
لا تدخل الملائكة بيتاً فيه خمر او دف او طنبور او نرد, ولا يستجاب دعاؤهم, ويرفع الله عنهم البركة.
He “God bless him and his household” said:
The angels did not enter house into wine or tambourine, drum, dice, and… etc. Did not accept their supplications, beside that God raised about them his blessing,
